The American people have asked for more transparency on UAP and the administration’s objective is maximum openness with the public. Redactions have been made to protect sensitive information on military operations, platforms, and sensor capabilities, as well as the identity of eyewitnesses, the location of government facilities, or potentially sensitive information about military sites not connected to UAP. No redactions have been made that concern the discovery of UAP or related phenomena. The materials archived here are unresolved cases, meaning the government is unable to make a definitive determination on the nature of the observed phenomena. This can occur for a variety of reasons, including a lack of sufficient data, and the Department of War welcomes the application of private-sector analysis, information, and expertise. DOW will continue to conduct separate reporting on resolved cases UAP cases, as mandated by statute.
